Continuation of Contemporary Dance II. Deepens knowledge of organic ways of moving while maximizing circular forces, coordinating breath and movement, and working with gravity and momentum. Students engage in independent movement research to explore advanced movement patterns, choreography, and improvisation that culminates in creating original material. Readings, written assignments, and videos will be assigned to enhance the understanding of principles of alignment, movement, and performance. Students will study key contemporary artists in the field.
