Introduction to film, sound and video production within the context of contemporary art. By foregrounding the distinct features of these media, this course also illustrates their many similarities and differences – from the technical and perceptual to the historical, cultural, and socio-political. Production of independent work that explores creative approaches to film, sound and video production that fall beyond the aesthetic and cultural norms of mainstream media.
