Introduction to a broad range of classic and contemporary fiction about the experience of illness and the social and environmental context of suffering and/or treating illness. Develops skills in narrative interpretation that are relevant to healthcare work. Examines the construction of narratives of illness, “normalcy,” and genuine well-being.
