Description
Reviews some of the major ethical considerations that confront prosecutors and criminal defense
attorneys, including ethical considerations surrounding the discovery process, ethical pleading principles, joint defense agreements, inadvertent disclosures, resolving disputes with clients regarding trial tactics, communicating with clients effectively, and setting and collecting fees. Students will examine these and similar questions by studying case opinions, selected secondary materials, and applicable ABA Model Rules of Professional responsibility, and by participating in weekly discussion.
