Description
Provides a primer on the tools and processes of legislative advocacy for lawyers. Students will learn from
subject-matter experts and participate several advocacy simulations, including a final simulation in which students will
draft a piece of legislation and present it to a committee made up of legislators, lobbyists, and other policy experts. A
paper that outlines explaining the rationale behind the bill, along with lessons learned after the panel presentation, will
accompany this final simulation. Graded Pass/Fail.
