Description

A socio-cultural perspective on migration and health at a global level. Includes a World Health Organization analysis of the global dynamics related to migration and health, theoretical frameworks and case studies of particular migrant groups and health issues, such as kidney disease, trauma, and mental health. Explores how groups, such as Doctors Without Borders, have addressed issues related to
migration and health. Examines power relations involved in migration and health policies and programs and how insights about culture can lead to improved policies and programs related to migration and health.
